From the Colton Storm catalogue: "On the verso are seven visas, stamped and signed. The notebook comprises sixty pages, seven of which contain certificates of police stations in towns visted by Ruxton and the balance notes in pencil regarding his experiences in Spain. There is also a pencil sketch of Ruxton's servant Halif. The materials in this volume were used in 'Ruxton of the Rockies' and the provenance of the volume is there described."
