- From the Colton Storm catalogue: "An interesting letter by one of the witnesses in the trial of Aaron Burr. Power had been a Spanish agent and was alleged to have paid Wilkinson 9000 [dollars] on behalf of Governor Carondelet. The present letter deals principally with the purchase of two islands by Power and his associates. One passage regarding a "mad dog" may refer to Wilkinson who is also mentioned on the fourth page, in a postscript. Laid in Wilkinson's Memoirs, Vol. II, 1811."
