- Summary:
- On the Tanabata holiday, the Japanese remember the ancient legend about lovers living in the sky - the stars Weaver (Vega) and Shepherd (Altair). Separated by the Milky River, they see each other only once a year - on the bridge that the magpies build for them for one night. This legend formed the basis of a poem by Alexei Andreev about a fearless snail who went on a difficult hike to the top of Mount Fuji to help the lovers.
