Kislak Center copy has on front free endpaper 20th-century manuscript inscription ("Febr 22th 1944-March 14th 1964 To Marian (Nairam) with Deepest affection from Leon and Hilde") recording the gift of this volume to Marian Anderson from Leon Kolb and his wife Hilde Kolb (née Grunwald; 1900-2000).
Kislak Center copy has early printed pamphlet with caption title "Comparison entre la maniére de célébrer l'Eucharistie parmi ceux de la communion romaine, & celle qui s'observe parmi nous, pour juger ensuite, qui d'eux ou de nous la célébrant à la maniére du Seigneur et de ses apôtres" (4 pages; woodcut tail-piece) bound in at end of volume.
Kislak Center copy bound in full black leather; boards ruled in blind; 4 decorated metal cornerpieces (floriate designs) and central decorated metal boss (depicting a bird perched among leafy branches) on each board; 2 metal fore-edge clasps with metal catchplates, all decorated; 5 raised bands on spine; portion of an early printed leaf from an herbal used as binder's waste (back pastedown); all edges gauffered and gilt.
Kislak Center copy: portion of fore-edge margin of leaf X8 torn off with some loss of printed marginalia.
