- Modimowabarwa Kanyane is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Management, Commerce and Law at the University of Venda, recipient of the 2022 Star of Discovery Global Award from the WorldHeritage Institute of Training and Research for Asia andthe Pacific (WHITRAP) under the auspices of UNESCO, two HSRC Senior Research Excellence Awards, and former Divisional Strategic Lead and Research Director. He was at the HSRC for a period of 11 years.
