- Summary:
- Jazz fusion wouldn’t be the same without Jack DeJohnette, the drumming maestro who worked extensively alongside the likes of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Schofield, Charles Lloyd, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Alice Coltrane … the list goes on. A veritable hall of famer, DeJohnette sat down with Qwest TV for a conversation that spanned all things, from cartoons to love-making. We know very well that for DeJohnette to name an all-star band, he would only have to reach back into his memories and pick a few standouts, so glittering has his career been. But his response to the question might surprise you. Also, when it comes to the more abstract questions, concerning what jazz means to him, he proves himself to be full of insight. Watch to see for yourself. Rowan Standish Hayes
