- Summary:
- Forthright, heavy piano playing, a powerful voice that pierces the air, dark words adorned with desires: Sarah McCoy is a talented thunderbolt of an artist that never fails to induce a strong reaction in her audience. She started off singing in the street, struggling through dingy bars, hitchhiking between states, and yet – from her music emanates an unexpectedly warm, almost early-morning sense of peacefulness. With a voice that reveals shades of both Amy Winehouse and Billie Holliday, she paints pop, soul and, above all, blues with an incomparable conviction, whispering and then roaring her authentic melancholia. Here, she gives a very intense concert accompanied by her friend from the street circuit, Alyssa Anne Potter, and at the end of the concert, she exclaims "My heart is your heart."In 2019 she recorded her first album Blood Siren at Ferber Studios in Paris with the support of Chilly Gonzales and Renaud Letang.
