Summary:
As part of the 2014 Django Reinhardt Festival held at Samois-sur-Seine, the guitarist Gilad Hekselman invited us to contemplate the magic of the art of the trio alongside Reuben Rogers on bass and Ference Nemeth on drums. The concert opens with Gilad Hekselman and his guitar, but the two others are not far behind. Through the exchange of frienly glances, a clear symbiosis is then born. With apparent ease, the musicians reveal their fundamental craft. The ensemble perfectly delivers the moods of the different choruses that punctuate the hour-long show. Since settling in New York in 2004, Gilad Hekselman has quickly earned the respect of his peers. The young Israeli musician is recognized by the some of the greatest: Chris Potter, Mark Turner and Gretchen Parlato. He is now known as one of New York's most promising guitarists. Floriane Esnault
