- After the first thirty minutes, the second part of this concert continues to baffle the Parisian audience gathered at the Palais des Sports. It's 1973 and Miles Davis, in line with his fusion album *On The Corner*, continues to deconstruct half a century of jazz by experimenting, live on stage, with electric abstractions on a thick rhythmic carpet, with his band made up of Reggie Lucas and Pete Cosey (guitars), Dave Liebman (saxophones, flute), Al Foster (drums), James Mtume (percussion) and Michael Henderson (bass). In his introduction, Pierre Bouteiller recounts how confused the audience was at the time by Miles Davis "always so solitary, always so painful, always so fascinating". Eric Delhaye
