- Summary:
- This concert was recorded in Stuttgart on April 1, 1988, for a television series. The Paris Reunion Band, created in 1985 by American saxophonist Nathan Davis, is made up of great jazzmen who love Paris. Davis often played with Kenny Clarke, a pioneer of modern drums and bebop who moved to France in 1956. Together, they made their mark on Parisian clubs, and he pays tribute to him here. In this group, he brings together Nat Adderley on saxophone, Woody Shaw on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, Joe Henderson on tenor sax, Walter Bishop, Jr. on piano, Jimmy Woode on double bass, and Idris Muhammad on drums. Keep an eye out for Muhammad's classic solo before the explosive horns that follow. Paoli
