Interior of the North Taku (Dagu) Fort, taken immediately after its capture Aug 21st 1860. Note that Beato has re-arranged the position of two of the dead Chinese soldiers in order that their faces are seen head-on. This is Print 14 in the published catalogue of Beato's China views, and is there titled 'Interior of the English entrance to North Fort on 21st August, 1860.'.
