Summary:
From The Costume of China. Illustrated in forty-eight coloured engravings. Published by William Miller, London, 1805. Three vessels lying at anchor in the river of Ning-po (Ningbo). The middle vessel is a trading ship. The Chinese characters over the rudder denote the name of the vessel. The small vessel on the left was hired for the service of the embassy, and employed in transporting luggage. The vessel on the right, conveyed staff from the embassy.
