- Summary:
- Silent public information film produced by British Instructional Films Limited. A young man moves to London to work as an accountant, but suddenly returns home to the surprise of his parents. His story is then explained. After falling for a female colleague, he exhausts his funds trying to impress her, and rather than attend an event organised by the British Council for Social Hygiene, he steals money from the company to fund a lavish dates. After the colleague rejects his advances, he spends the night with another woman. An audit of the company's finances reveal that funds have gone missing, and the film's protagonist is dismissed. Unable to secure work, he also discovers that he is suffering from gonorrhoea.
