- Summary:
- "Entitled "Third Testament" and New Evangelization, the study by Abbot Massimiliano Scalici seeks to further introduce autobiography into Revelation ("God reveals himself by telling of himself," according to Dei Verbum 2), providing a sharper understanding of the sacramentality of the Word, a theme considered by Benedict XVI in Verbum Domini 56. The proposal of an autobiographical theology draws its sources from Christ himself, the narrating narrator of God and therefore the divine "Proto-autobiographer." Consequently, Scripture and Tradition transmit the Word of God to the extent that the biblical writers and the countless explicit and implicit witnesses of the faith, under the action of the Holy Spirit, tell of themselves. In the context of evangelization, the study of Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince applying the three mimesis of P. Ricoeur proves to be valuable. Likewise, the "cénacle" or autobiographical circle, like an innovative praxis of announcement, offers poignant testimonies.".
