- Catalogue of the works selected for the exhibition at the San Fernando Museum in Maldonado, commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of master artist Carlos Páez Vilaró (Uruguay 1923-2014), a painter, ceramist, sculptor, muralist, writer, composer and builder. The remarkable artist painted until the last day of his life and was characterized by being in a constant search for art, setting up his workshops in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, France, Congo and Cameroon, among other countries. This selection of works arranged chronologically shows his changes, the different artistic influences, the replacement of curves by straight lines, the implementation of textures, the simplification of the stroke, the explosion of colors, the audacity to break perspectives, the use of symmetry and the message of love for life and for the integration of races and cultures.
