- Summary:
- The Inn at Bella Vista is a bed and breakfast (B&B) housed in a home originally designed by architect E. Fay Jones, a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright. It is located in northern Arkansas's Ozark Mountains, convenient to passers-by yet tucked away in a meadow overlooking a valley. The home is nostalgic, maintaining much of its original décor and personality. Nature abounds, with deer feeding daily as well as hummingbirds and other animals in close proximity. The owner also has a passion for golf. She runs a golf school using nearby courses, and some of her clientele are attracted because of the opportunity to improve their game. This case lends itself well to the study of strategic choices and competitive advantage in the lodging industry.
