The grief that follows the death of someone we know is always difficult. When it is the death of a coworker, that grief can come with unique challenges. Joan, the owner of Prevail Coffee, a successful coffee shop, is facing that reality after learning that Jeff, a beloved, long-time employee who recently left the company, has died of cancer. With a staff of mostly teenagers and young adults who regarded Jeff as a mentor and big brother, Joan dreads the reality of delivering the news to her staff, but she knows hiding behind her fear is not an option.
