This case involves industrial disputes in India. Until the time an industrial dispute is resolved, there may be a breakdown in the normal working of the organization. This case discusses an industrial dispute at Hero Honda Motors Limited, where the contractual workers protested against management and the permanent workers. Contractual workers went on strike due to unhappiness at being treated much worse than the permanent workforce. The feeling of partiality and non-recognition of their hard work further aggravated the contractual workers, whose anger was directed towards the permanent workers and the factory management. The case describes a classic example of how a perceived sense of injustice can lead to feelings of frustration and helplessness, which can be harmful for industrial peace and harmony.
