Shemuʼel ben Mosheh Bianchini, cousin to scribe Shelomoh ben Yitsḥaḳ Bianchini, signed the manuscript, circa beginning of the 19th century (inscription, f. 15v: "שמואל ביאנקיני ב"משה ביאנקיני ב"יצחק ביאנקיני...").

Yehudah Barukh Bianchini, likely as a child, signed the manuscript (f. 20v: "יהודה ברוך ביאנקיני -- יהודה ברוך ביאנקיני טוב עד מאד, זרח ביאנקיני רע עד מאד").

Summary:

Haftarot book written by Solomon b. Isaac Bianchini of Ferrara, and subsequently used as a familial diary on the remaining folios; the manuscript likely was a Haftarot book for the yearly festival cycle (surviving are the Haftarot for Passover days 1, 2, 7, and 8, and Shavu'ot 2, with evidence of a gathering removed from the beginning of the manuscript) in the Italian rite (reading a number of verses in the Hebrew original, followed by the Aramaic Targum Pseudo-Johnathan). The Bianchini family diary includes miracles and mysteries, that Solomon's son Mosheh fell from his bed, and was unharmed (dated Friday, Parashat Va-yeshev 5587 (1826); f. 24r), a stepping stone fell from the attic to an otherwise crowded street, without injuring passerby (f. 24v); his marriage of 1822 to Rivkah (later called Rochina in this manuscript) bat Nahum Neppi, and his firstborn Shemuʼel Aviʻad Sar Shalom (f. 25r-v); births of daughters Allegrina and Josephine Alexandrina Fortunata (יוסיפינא אלכסנדרינא פורטונטא; f. 30r), and later Benedetta (f. 32v), and subsequent inscriptions written by descendants (f. 33r-35r), mostly in Italian. Written in an Italian square script, Haftarot portion vocalized and with cantillation marks around Hebrew verses; frame-ruled in lead. Flourishes and floral banners drawn between Haftarot sections (acting as dividers). Bound in contemporary marbled boards.
