- Summary:
- This documentary narrates the story of Iran’s Bakhtiari Tribe, the largest group of Iranian migratory nomads, who in spring every year move en masse to a summer pasture where they can find water and plants for their livestock. This annual migration was made famous by the 1925 ethnographic documentary film, Grass: A Nation’s Battle for Life. However, the Bakhtiari find this to be an unusual year, because the tribe is forced to stay in their winter quarters or pick the hard way, since the roads that the Bakhtiari would normally travel to migrate are closed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
