Summary:
Moussa (Djédjé Apali) is a young man from Burkina Faso. He lives in the village where he was born, with his parents, his family and his wife, Fatima. But he prefers to call her 'Bamako' because it was there, in the capital of Mali, that he met her - before getting married and having their baby, Mamadou. The land gives them just enough to live on, but this precarious balance is now threatened by a prolonged drought. Driven by his responsibility towards his family, and after asking the opinion of the village elders, Moussa decides to go and find work in Europe. We will accompany him on his journey, and on our way gather testimony from those who went before, and who now, at each resting place and bend in the way, recount their experiences, the means they used to travel to Spain and what they encountered on reaching their destination.
