- Sadaf Rahimi es la mejor boxeadora de Afganistán pero debe enfrentarse a las tradiciones de su país, al miedo y a su propio destino para ser una mujer libre. Ella y su hermana Shabnam se unieron al recién creado equipo de boxeo femenino de Afganistán con 13 años cuando regresaron a su país después de estar refugiadas en Irán. Sus éxitos en el boxeo y en los estudios la convertirán en un referente para muchas jóvenes afganas pero su camino no estará exento de amenazas y dificultades. "Boxing for Freedom" es un documental sobre el empoderamiento de la mujer, por eso los directores decidieron darle una cámara a Sadaf para que grabase parte de su historia. El documental recoge las voces de las mujeres afganas más progresistas en un punto de inflexión para Afganistán porque los derechos de las mujeres están retrocediendo. El documental se grabó en Kabul (Afganistán) entre 2011 y 2014.
- Sadaf Rahimi is the best female boxer in Afghanistan, but she must deal with her country's traditions, fears, and her own fate to be a free woman. She and her sister Shabnam joined Afghanistan's newly formed female boxing team at the age of 13, when they returned home after being refugees in Iran. Her victories in boxing and in her studies will make her an inspiration for many young Afghan women. However, her path will not be free of threats and challenges. Boxing for Freedom is a documentary about the women's empowerment, therefore the directors decided to give Sadaf a camera to record part of her story. The documentary captures the lives of the most progressive Afghan women at a point of reflection for Afghanistan because women's rights are being repressed. The documentary was shot in Kabul, Afghanistan, between 2011 and 2014.
