Summary:
Mr. Cayo is an old farmer, ironic and intelligent, with a wisdom as old as the earth, who knows human beings very well. Although he lives practically alone, together with his mute wife in an almost abandoned village in the mountains of Burgos, he manages to captivate with his charm three emissaries of a left-wing party. They come to the place without knowing very well what they could find, although with the illusory hope of making a speech in the public square.
