- Summary:
- A report on online diploma mills, phony universities that are often nothing more than a website and a post office box. Includes a visit to Hamilton University, in Evanston, Wyoming, where the only qualifications for a degree are an essay and a check. A change in Wyoming law forced Hamilton to close, but the so-called university has reopened under a different name in the Bahamas. Includes interviews with: Allen Ezell, a former FBI agent; and John Bear, the author of books on diplomas mills.
