- Summary:
- A report on the reopening of the unsolved 33-year-old murder of Danny Croteau, a 13-year-old altar boy from Springfield, MA. The Croteaus' parish priest Father Richard Lavigne was a prime suspect in the case but was not prosecuted due to the lack of witnesses and physical evidence. It has since been learned that Father Lavigne as well as Bishop Thomas Dupree, head of the Springfield diocese, were guilty of sexually abusing young boys. Detectives fear that not enough new evidence has been found in order to charge Lavigne with murder.
