Summary:
This book is a walk through one of the most beautiful works of the Pritzker Prize, Álvaro Siza Vieira: the Santa Maria Church in Marco de Canaveçes (Porto, Portugal 1996), characteristic for his emphasizes in natural light. Or rather, three walks. The author invites us to take three different paths of the building (physical, phenomenological and metaphysical), in order to prove that light has been and is a material with its own fundamental character in the configuration of the architectural space, and that the noted Portuguese architect, and this church, are the paradigm of it in the Architecture of our time.
