- Summary:
- Juan Fielitz (Uruguay, 1990) is a visual artist, graphic designer and professor of design based in Montevideo, Uruguay. His practice explores the materiality of the image through the use and manipulation of the editorial archive. He has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany; and he has collaborated on editorial projects in Uruguay, Belgium, Germany, Holland and Japan. His research process focuses on the archive, collection and appropriation of intervened images through the collage technique. His aesthetic search has strong roots in the tradition of collage and photomontage processes developed by the Bauhaus and the Dadaists.
