- In 2022, the Schroeder Orozco family made a magnificent donation to the Museum: a valuable graphic archive made up of the ink drawings on fragments of napkins and different papers made by the artist Rafael Schroeder Orozco (Uruguay 1951-1989) with ballpoint pen or markers in Montevideo between 1951 and 1989. The person in charge of meticulously preserving these works was Adela Giménez. "Raphael's work goes beyond these visual poems made on napkins. In his artistic corpus there is also painting, on canvas and on paper. However, we set out to limit it to the field of graphics, to the two aspects that we see in his exhibition: napkins or visual messages, on the one hand, and his writings on the other." --translated from page 8.
