Commencing in 1994, Jerry Rhine suffered multiple heart attacks and strokes, resulting in severe brain damage and forcing him to discontinue his successful career in commercial real estate. After a year of cognitive treatment at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, Jerry enrolled at New York University and in 2004 earned a master's degree in social work.
