- Summary:
- When the first passenger cars were introduced in Japan in 1950's, they were so expensive that only few wealthy people could afford. 7 young engineers at Fuji Jidosha, who used to be successful WWII fighter plane engineers, were struggling for life. Their dream was to develop an affordable four-seated car that the general public could afford, but their company wasn't doing well so the engines they could use for their dream car were ones meant for motorcycles. After 3 years of numerous struggles and backslidings, they finally develops a four-seated affordable car named Subaru 360, also nicknamed Ladybird by the public. Part of the documentary TV series that tells the stories of relatively unknown persons and organizations who made important contributions to the development of post-war Japan, especially in the area of technological innovations.
