Summary:
Eighteenth-century volume of some thirty three manuscript recipes, including confectionery such as sixpenny buttons, mint drops, corner cakes, muffins, wiggs and others. At the back of the volume are several remedy drinks for cows, which seem to all include ale. Example: A drink for a cow that stale blood; Take a pound of currants, hand full of yard and boiled in three pints of ale and take three or four new layds hen eggs, give her.
