- "This edition of works by Beethoven's only composition student includes the Forty Variations on a Theme by Beethoven and the Sonata in F Minor for Violin and Piano. The variations were published in 1819 at Beethoven's particular urging, and two early manuscript versions of the work show numerous corrections in his hand.
