- Biography/History:
- Christiane Wood has an extensive background in education, having worked as an early elementary and middle school teacher, as well as a reading specialist. Currently, she is an associate professor of literacy education at California State University San Marcos. She is the author of The Literacy of Play and Innovation: Children as Makers (2019). Laurie Stowell has been an elementary and middle school teacher in Ohio and a professor of literacy education at California State University San Marcos since 1992. She is also the director of the San Marcos Writing Project and on the Executive Leadership Council of the California Writing Project. Merryl Goldberg is a music professor and arts integration specialist and has been a member of the California State University San Marcos faculty since 1993. She started her career as a part-time music educator, then went on the road as a professional saxophonist for 13 years before entering academia. She is the author of Arts Integration: Teaching Subject Matter Through the Arts in Multicultural Settings (2022), currently in its sixth edition.
