Commemorative exhibition celebrating the birth centenary of noted sculptor Joaquín Roca Rey (Lima, Perú, 1923 - 2004), presenting a selection from his art production made over five decades (sculptures, reliefs, drawings, watercolours and engravings). His sculptures are "quasi-illusionistic, hypnotic objects, whose power is to reflect, but at the same time to distort. "This is a special project as it marks the first exhibition and book dedicated to Roca-Rey in Peru over 25 years and also due to the great effort put into its production. The 53 pieces that make up the exhibition, most of which were brought from Italy, and carefully selected by curator Massimo Scaringella, are a testimony to the genius and creative activity of Roca Rey in the decades between 1950s and 2000s." --Page 88.
