- Elizabeth Siddons Angus' diaries provide a detailed record of her daily life in Edinburgh. There is much comment on her involvement with amateur dramatics, attendance at anti-vivisection lectures as well as visits, shopping expeditions and her family's health including her aunt's mental illness. She also records outings such as cycling to North Berwick and lengthy visits to London [where she visited the "Deaf and Dumb Church"], Stratford and the Lake District, and a holiday in France.
