Summary:
This diary is very similar to volume 1 (EHC176/M968), but there are increased references to prayer meetings, church, bible classes and a course of 'sick visiting'. There is still a great deal of socialising. Another feature of the diaries is the frequent reference to parental authority, e.g. 'mama actually consented'.
