- Summary:
- Transcripts, mostly in the hand of Caroline Fox, of records kept by Arthur O'Connor, William James MacNeven and Thomas Addis Emmet, United Irishmen, of their examinations before secret committees of the Houses of Lords and Commons, some of which were printed by them as an appendix to their 'Memoir', 1798. This contains the latter part of an examination of O'Connor and examinations of MacNeven in August 1798, as printed (with slight variations) in the Memoir, and concludes with examinations of Emmet and MacNeven on 6 Sep and of O'Connor on 6th and 9th Sep 1798. The official version of the examinations appeared in the Dublin Magazine, i, 1798, pp. 131-140, 192-193.
