- Summary:
- Jean was evacuated from London to Corsham with her elder sister Dorothy and younger brother Terry. Jean and Terry were placed with Mr and Mrs Bolwell of Oakfield, Prospect, Corsham. Mr Bolwell was the Manager of the Paper Mill at Slaughterford. The diary records her time at school, social outings, church activities and air raids. There is a transcript with biographical detail by Jean's husband Mr Royston Tamsett and copies of photographs taken whilst staying with Mr and Mrs Bolwell; a copy of a savings account book from 1941 and a school report from 1941.
