Summary:
This volume describes a mountaineering holiday to Zermatt in 1935. Norris travelled to Newhaven on her motorbike, named Archibald, and then took the train to Zermatt in Switzerland. She did some training on the Garner Glacier, the Riffelhorn and the Furggengrat before tackling a traverse of the Untergabelhorn. The times she left her hut and the lengths of stops are all carefully noted. She describes traversing the Rimpfischhorn which she viewed as more difficult than tackling the Matterhorn...
