Summary:
Typescript of previous diary, which was produced by Edward Hall, including a preface and footnotes which explain parts of the text. The diary is mostly concerned with European travel, although some parts were written when the diarist was in England. Places visited include Paris, Cologne, Vienna, Rome, German spas at Salzburg and Ischl, Marchwood Court, Kent and Exton - as well as a dull Christmas spent in a Brighton hotel. There is also a description of the Passion Play at Ober Ammergau.
