Summary:
Two journals recording the social and family life of a young lady in society. The first volume begins 23 June 1850 and ends 30 December 1851. The second volume begins 1 January 1852 and ends December 1857 with a break between September 1852 and October 1854 during which time Isabella was married to Walter Drummond and had two children. In her journal she records social engagements, dinners and dances, visits to the Isle of Wight, Dover, Tunbridge Wells and the Great Exhibition as well as visits to family and friends. Her journal is also illustrated with small engravings of the places she visited.
