Summary:

There are some recipes, one to each page, and what seems to be a careful description of the garden at Henblas. The original script is carefully and successfully lined out. There is clear evidence of at least four different hands - the index script is different from that of the first group of recipes, the second group is much more modern than the first, while another hand altogether numbered the first group of recipes and wrote the garden description on p. 142. Although it is tolerably certain that Mrs Elizabeth Morgan did not write either index, recipes or description, her hand cannot be mistaken at the top of p. 117 ('Lemon Wine', but no recipe follows) and at the foot of p.142.
