Summary:
This volume contains 116 photographs from the Exposition Coloniale in Bois de Vincennes, Paris, France in 1931. It has a quarter-black cloth cover over faux green crocodile skin boards with a photograph of the exposition's Angkor Wat temple recreation on the cover. The pages of the album include hand painted captions and decoration surrounding photographs pasted in. The sections of this album include La Porte d'Honneur (p. 1), Les Missions Catholique et Protestante (p. 2), La Tour de Bronze (p. 3), Les Beaux Arts (p. 3), La Cité des Informations (p. 3), Les Fonataines (p. 4), Autour du Lac (p. 5), the colonies' pavilions (p. 6-13, 15-18), Le Soir (p. 14), and Le Zoo (p. 19-20). There are numerous photographs of the Dutch pavilion (p. 16), which burned down on June 28, 1931. Several photographs feature a young girl wearing a white dress and sun hat and a woman in a black skirt suit. They appear to be associated with the creator of this album.
