- Summary:
- Acupuncture treatments for 35 medical conditions, including diseases of the heart, throat, and lungs; dermatological, dental, intestinal, reproductive, and obstetrical issues; cholera and gonorrhea; and pediatric illnesses. The text also includes information on resuscitating drowned people and instruction on pressure points, methods of treatment, and inserting needles in veins (Hill). The characters 服部明佐 appear on the inside and outside of the back cover. Minor worm damage, more in leaves and wrapper at the end of the volume.

- Foliation: Paper, 9 double sheet folios; [1-9], modern foliation in pencil, lower left recto.
- Layout: Written in 8 columns.
- Script: Written in Chinese script with Japanese furigana and kaeriten.
- Binding: Original (18th-century) paper wrappers with modern sewing.
- Origin: Written based on information orally transmitted by Shimizu Asaemon near Imabari Castle (now in Ehime-ken, Japan), September 1796 (f. 1v, 9v; Hill).
