- Summary:
- For thousands of years, the Zagros Mountain Range, in Lorestan Province of Iran, has drawn settlers, who have been attracted to this area by its exceptional defensive potential and an abundance of life-sustaining resources. Among the region's inhabitants were the Kassite people, who once ruled the Babylonian Empire. Focusing on the Kassite ethnic culture of the second and third millennia BC, archaeologists study Kassite-associated artifacts in an attempt to better understand this historically neglected and under-studied society. This documentary film focuses on the ten years of archaeological work by archaeologist Ata Hasanpour Sakvat in Lorestan Province.
