- Summary:
- Luis, a curious young European man, wonders where Europeans come from. To find the answer, he will embark on a fascinating journey with Eudald Carbonell, the famous archaeologist and co-director of archaeological excavations at the Atapuerca site in Spain, where traces of the human presence go back one million years or more. This journey takes them traveling across three continents following the footprints of our ancient ancestors. The conversation includes our distant cousins, the chimpanzees, and then follows a path from Africa to the country of Georgia, where the earliest known non-African human ancestor was found. Next in line are Atapuerca, then the long tenure of the Neanderthals, and finally the arrival of modern humans.
