The thirteenth edition of the Indigenous Peoples in Brazil series, referring to the period from 2017 to 2022, provides an overview of 266 indigenous peoples that live in Brazil, speakers of about 160 languages. The current volume comprises one of the most troubled times in post-redemocratization indigenous history and highlights,on the cover, the leader Watatakalu Yawalapiti, from the Xingu Indigenous Territory(MT), recalling the protagonism of indigenous women in the defense of indigenous rights in the face of setbacks.
