Academic of the Universidade Federal da Bahia (Ufba), Leandro Colling is one of the creators and a member of the Núcleo de Pesquisa e Extensão em Culturas. In this book, he analyzes a selection of art exhibitions that were on display in museums in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville. All selected exhibitions (from David Wojnarowicze Henrik Olesen, at the Museum Reina Sofia, "Feminismosʺ, at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea of Barcelona, "Tiempos convulsosʺ, at the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, "The Richard Channin Foudationʺ and "Nosotras, de nuevoʺ, at the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, and "Pink powerʺ by Verónica Ruth Frías, at the Instituto da Cultura y las Artes de Sevilla) comprise artworks that dealt with sexual and gender diversity and/or dissidence. The book, is the outcome of a research project funded by the Capes/Print program and carried out during the period 2019-2020 in which the author was a visiting professor at the University of Seville (Spain).
