Summary:
"Afinidades II- Elas!" (Affinities II- Her!) is part of the "Affinities" project, which began in 2021. In this second edition, a group of women artists from different regions of Brazil was invited to participate, based on an immersion in the permanent collection of works of the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. Curated by Marc Pottier, the event comprises ten Brazilian women artists with the intention of being a celebration of art made by women. "The participating artists selected works from the MON collection, with which they have greater affinity and from where they draw inspiration. From this selection they created new narratives. As a result, Asian art and African art are represented in this exhibition, as well as works by the artist from Curitiba, Polly Lazzarotto.ʺ --Page 6.
