- October 26, 1835, letter to Pratte, Chouteau and Company, delivered by trader Pierre Legris, concerning the fur trade on the Platte River. Laidlaw notes the departure of Mr. Mitchell with trade goods to the Platte and reports that a Mr. Foutinelle had been encouraging the Indians of that region to trade with him.
